September 12 Baker to Milford 82 miles

We had breakfast this morning at a diner whose proprietor had probably seen Seinfeld's episode of "The Soup Nazi" and decided to emulate him. However, the friendliness of the other customers more than made up for her.

This was our longest day and winds were contrary. The 13 mile downhill into Milford more than made up for it. Today, Margi gets the "Iron Woman Award" for biking up the Frisco Summit with her back brake on, OUCH! Doug, our bike mechanic, took care of it at the top (he thinks he may have caused it at the bottom when Margi complained of a "squishy brake.)

Today was also a milestone because we left Nevada and entered Utah and a new time zone. One hour closer to CDT, hooray!

Tomorrow promises to be an easier day with only one pass. The winds will not be in our favor but the distance (53 miles) will be. We continue to be amazed at our luck with the weather. Not one drop of rain so far. Western Utah is much like Nevada but the mountain peaks are getting somewhat higher.

A shout-out tonight goes to Frank and John Titterington whose birthday is tomorrow. HBD to the BEST big twin brothers in Kansas City!

Gotta go, the pizza is on it's way!
