GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK, DAYTON, NV 9/11

What a well kept secret this place is. Stunning peaks, breathtaking vistas, trees so old it's mind boggling. There's hardly anyone here. Please come here someday if you want an amazing discovery.

So, what better way to finish off a 62 mile day than with a couple of mile hike in Great Basin National Park about 10,000' to see some of the oldest living trees on earth. On the trail again.

Almost there, but still waiting for a BIMBOY.

Taking pictures of someone else taking a picture.

This particular Bristlecone Pine is over 3,200 years old and still going strong. The trees that live the longest are the ones that face the very harshest conditions. The wood becomes hardened thus making them more enduring. Sounds like a life lesson to me.

Becoming one with the tree. Oooooooommmm.
