DAY 6? (have lost track) 9/5 FALLON, NEVADA

Well, this is BIMBOY I checking in. You may have noticed the blog has been silent for a couple of days. Actually, we are still working on getting into a routine with this.

As far as the BIMBOs go, they are impressive! The only things that have slowed them down at all have been poorly marked construction areas and narrow, winding roads with heavy traffic. Yesterday was a rest day in Carson City, Nevada but today it was back in the saddle. Everyone seemed in high spirits today and they knocked 61 miles by 1:30. We had to wait until 2 to check in.

BIM Rating (this refers to the route today on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best) 8
BAR Rating (accomodations) 7

I'll let the BIMBOs speak for themselves. BIMBOY I out.

9/5 - Our first rest day was yesterday in Carson City. Our first night in town Nancy and Debra hit the Casino while the rest of the group went to bed early. We doubled our bet at the Black Jack table and walked away winners with free drinks. We listened to the band and danced with the locals. The next day activities included: sleeping in, an early morning walk to the Capitol and a visit to the local Farmer's Market for fresh produce. In the afternoon we participated in the local wine walk and in the evening we went to a movie, The American, with George Clo0ney. The movie was disappointing but George was not.

Today's ride featured everything you would want: mostly down hill, sunshine, a wide shoulder, and very accommodating drivers. It did get hot in the afternoon and the cross wind was fierce.
A good dinner and good night's rest will have us raring to go tomorrow when we'll bike 54 miles into the foothills of tiny Middlegate, NV.
