October 1st Larned Kansas

Our house in Ness City did not come equipped with wifi so we were unable to post yesterday. Here in Larned, things are really up to date so....here we go again.

We met Greg Gunter yesterday afternoon while he was biking by our front yard. He was headed to a local park to set up camp so we offered a couch in the house, a hot shower, and some good conversation. In return we asked him to wear his helmet while biking. As you can see by the picture of us, he took our advice at least for the moment. It is great seeing somebody in his twenties seeking positive, life-changing experiences. Go Greg!!

Today's ride, while short, did feature the wind - mostly in the wrong direction.

While Nancy and Mary were getting their "ears lowered", Debra attended Larned High School's homecoming pep rally on the steps of the courthouse. "Orange, black and white - hope you win tonight! Go, Indians!"

"Shout outs" tonight go to Lizzie Larson - Happy Birthday! In case we don't have wi-fi tomorrow night, happy birthday, Susan Brisch; happy retirement party, Mike Schupp; and happy Octoberfest, Dan and Dana Gould - tip a few for the Edwards!
