CHANUTE TO GIRARD, KS 10/5/10

Madison House B&B in Girard, Kansas. This is the perfect place to host a large crowd! The owners are flexible and cordial. We managed to entertain 31 friends and family throughout the day.

Dinner at Chicken Annie's. Nancy Weber and a few of her college friends.

Our foursome has expanded. Friends and family came to bike with us from Chanute to Girard. What a beautiful day!

A bridge over some not so troubled water.

Our new best friend,Warren Alford, who was kind enough to take our pictures as we biked out of town.

What a great day for family and friends to join us for a bike ride into Girard. Debra's two sisters, Cathy and Nancy, as well as our friends Candice and Karlie biked with us to Girard while Susan Brisch (AKA Bimboy III) and Debra's brother in law, Mike, helped sag. A few miles out of town we encountered still more friends! Trudy Nepstad and Ken and Barb Bridges met us as we rode into town.

The Madison House B&B was the perfect venue for lunch and happy hour as more friends and family amassed. Barb Bridges took orders for our Subway lunch and came back with half the store and two employees. Needless to say, we did not go hungry.

After an extended happy hour on the veranda, we headed to Chicken Annie's for a great dinner and birthday celebration for Karlie and Susan. The evening ended too soon as friends and family headed home and we headed to bed.

Today's "shout outs" go to our friend, "Singed Cindy Smith". Hope your recovery is quick and complete. And to Marti Frueh - Happy Birthday!
